B i o g r a p h y
April Fletcher has over 20 years of experience in the arts and entertainment industry. Music projects have included being the bass player for Klymaxx (the all-female band with the 80’s R&B/Pop musical hits “Meeting in the Ladies Room,” “The Men All Pause” and “I Miss You” as well as the 90’s R&B hit “Good Love”), a founding member or the band Epically Cracked (Future Soul/Experimental), as well as the jazz duo/trio Cool Beat Borscht. While her theatrical work has largely been in production in sound, lighting and production coordination, she has also toured North America 3 times as a puppeteer.
A native of St. Louis, MO, April studied classical piano, electronic music and audio engineering at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, theatre design at the University of Kansas and received a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts.
Her current projects are in digital media and distribution, including an OTT television channel as well as working on material for an upcoming music project.
